Time for another Giveaway!! This one is for MOM

October is National Breast Cancer awareness month...so in honor of my Mom, who I lost in 2000 after a long battle with breast cancer....I am giving away 2 gifts...

One ~~ A bag promoted by Safeway to Support the Cause

Two ~~ A set of Good Cook pink measuring cups

So my sistas (or brothas)....just leave me a comment and let me know if you have been affected by breast cancer in your family (I certainly hope that you haven't, but unfortunately most of us have been been affected directly or indirectly). My random number picker will pick TWO winners on Wednesday evening.

Only one comment per person....but if you blog about this giveaway....I will give you not one, not two...not even three or four....but 5 extra entries.

Let's have fun.....and CHECK YOUR TATAS...IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!!

My mom battled cervical cancer and beat it. Now she has found a lump in her breast but refuses to do anything about it. I have tried to no avail to get her to schedule an appointment with her physician. I'm at a loss on where to go from here.

I lost a very close friend to breast cancer in May. She fought it for 6 years.

What a great giveaway.

I friend of mine had a mastectomy in High School..yup, I had no idea that you could get breast cancer so young. It impacted us all, and changed my view of womanhood, body image and instilled a permanent desire to contribute to the movement for breast cancer research. After experiencing cervical cancer myself at age 21, now I'm working for that too...and have given speaches to women at the local community college about the importance of yearly exams and monthly self-checks. Our family participates every year in the local walk for breast cancer, and we have a "charity jar" for donations every year as well.

My Aunt just beat Breast Cancer! I am a cervical cancer survivor (had it at age 21 while pregnant with my daughter). Our family has lots of cancer in it, of all sorts :(

Hello Tammy

My family is lucky; the only cancer so far has been my mom who had a benign tumor many years ago resulting in a complete hysterectomy because the tumor had attached itself to simply everything inside her.

And I will be bloggin about your contest if you want to check it out. Thank you Tammy!!!

luckily I don't know of anyone that's been affected by breast cancer, but since I have huge boobs, well, I figure I better work on finding a cure since if I ever do get it, I'd be really REALLY lopsided (provided they had to remove a breast).

Thankfully no one in my family has had breast cancer, but I've had 2 close friends with it. So far, both are in remission now.

No one that I know of in my family. But I've had several good friends diagnosed. One passed away. One came through with flying colors and the other is battling now.

This is such a great giveaway and has such wonderful meaning behind it. I am going to post this on my blog for all to see!!!

Everyone needs to check out www.breastexamkit.com
Included in the kit is an awesome breast chek aid. It is like a magnifying glass for your fingertips... It allows you to feel the smallest lump.
Thanks for the chance to win...

My aunt had breast cancer, had a double radical mastectomy. Women need to be more aware, and get there mamograms...they are free to women without insurance.

My biggest "that's so unfair" cancer issue is all the little kids who get cancer. My grandson was diagnosed with high risk T-cell Leukemia before he was three. Luckily after almost four years of treatment, he is in remission and turns eight next Sunday...a day we never thought we'd see, and thank God for every day....too many aren't as fortunate.

My grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 35 and had to have a masectomy. My aunt has also battled with breast cancer. I think everyone probably has someone close to them that has had some encounter with the disease. That's why we have to continue to work at discovering a cure! Great contest Tammy...
